NewsKey Terms of Service

1. Application

These Terms apply to all relationships between users and us concerning the use of the App. We may publish additional rules, guidelines, or other provisions (the "Individual Provisions") regarding the App. Such Individual Provisions form part of these Terms regardless of their title.

2. Account Registration

The App can be used without account registration. To use the Premium features, however, you need to make a one-time (non-consumable) purchase through the App Store.

3. Free Plan and Premium Plan

1. The App offers a free plan and a paid Premium plan.
2. On the free plan, you can register up to 3 keywords, and advertisements are shown.
3. On the Premium plan, you can register unlimited keywords and use the App without ads.
4. The price and contents of the Premium plan follow what is shown on the in-app paywall screen.
5. The Premium plan is a one-time purchase (a non-consumable in-app purchase). It is not a subscription; there are no monthly or annual charges and no auto-renewal. A single payment grants continued access.
6. All billing and payments are processed through the App Store. Refunds are governed by Apple's policies. Purchase state is managed via RevenueCat.

4. News Content

1. The App displays news articles provided by third parties via the Google News RSS feed. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, lawfulness, or any other property of these articles.
2. The copyright of the displayed articles belongs to the respective publishers.
3. News is fetched directly from your device and does not pass through our servers.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You shall not engage in any of the following while using the App:

• Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
• Acts that infringe on our or any third party's intellectual property rights, rights of publicity, privacy, etc.
• Reverse engineering, modifying, or attempting unauthorized access to the App
• Acts that may interfere with the operation of the App
• Using Premium features through unauthorized or fraudulent means
• Other acts we deem inappropriate

6. Suspension of the App

We may suspend or interrupt all or part of the App without advance notice if any of the following circumstances arise:

• Maintenance, inspection, or update of the computer system related to the App
• Force majeure events such as earthquakes, lightning strikes, fire, power outages, or natural disasters that make the provision of the App difficult
• Other cases where we judge that the provision of the App is difficult

7. Copyright

Copyrights and other intellectual property rights in the App and all related content (text, design, logos, etc.) belong to us. The license to use the App granted under these Terms does not constitute a license to use any of our intellectual property.

8. Disclaimer

1. We do not represent or warrant, expressly or impliedly, that the App is free of any defect in fact or in law (including defects related to safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, validity, fitness for a particular purpose, security, errors, bugs, or rights infringement).
2. We are not liable for any damage caused to users by the App. However, where the agreement between you and us regarding the App (including these Terms) constitutes a consumer contract under the Consumer Contract Act of Japan, this disclaimer does not apply.
3. We are not responsible for any damage arising from the contents of news articles fetched via Google News RSS.
4. We are not responsible for any transactions, communications, or disputes between you and other users or third parties arising in connection with the App.

9. Changes to the Service

We may change the contents of the App or discontinue providing the App without notice to users, and we are not liable for any damage caused to users thereby.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may, at any time and without notice, change these Terms when we deem it necessary. Continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. The court having jurisdiction over the location of our head office shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising out of or in connection with the App.

12. Sales Information

The following information is provided in connection with in-app purchases (Premium plan), in accordance with applicable consumer protection requirements (including the Specified Commercial Transactions Act of Japan).
